Did you notice?

Unlike the Milkweed Tiger Moth's caterpillar, the monarch caterpillar is smooth.

Cuticle - the skin or exoskeleton of the caterpillar and chrysalis.

The front three legs are called thoracic legs. The back five are called prolegs.
